Shoreline Sightseeing Captain Manny Niño Honored
with Prestigious Maritime Awards
Shoreline Sightseeing is thrilled to announce that Captain Manny Niño has been recognized with two distinguished awards for his exceptional contributions to maritime safety and leadership. On January 28th, Captain Niño was honored with the Elizabeth Gedney Passenger Vessel Safety Award by the Passenger Vessel Association. Following this, on February 28th, he received the Jay Crissey Mariner Award from the International ShipMasters’ Association Chicago Lodge 3.
In his acceptance speech on February 28th, Captain Niño expressed profound gratitude towards those who have significantly influenced his career and extended his appreciation to his crew, acknowledging their critical role in his achievements.
Captain Niño shared insights into the challenges he faced during rescue operations, highlighting the importance of bravery and action in the face of fear. “In the light of a real situation, I did what needed to be done to get the right result using the intensive training Shoreline has provided me throughout my years. I did what I did not for awards, but as a result of what a Good Samaritan would do.”
