Always on the lookout for Fall things to do? Here are more activities that have shown up on the radar for the month of October leading up to Halloween to celebrate! Navy Pier has a calendar full of events for the remainder of the month, these are a few to mention below!
Take Care with Peanuts
The Peanuts are in town! Take Care with Peanuts, the exhibit, is coming to the Children’s Museum at Navy Pier Chicago. Come see Charlie Brown and his friends and get a glimpse into their world. With interactive displays and of course activities, activities that promote taking care of yourself and others such as empathy, self-care, and environmental stewardship.
Make music on the iconic Peanuts piano with Schroeder, take pictures at Lucy’s psychiatric booth, and more at their 15+ immersive sections and displays. With dates from now until January, learn more here.
USC Trojan Band Marching to the Pier
This Friday October 17th, University of Southern California will be making a statement up and down the pier performing their USC song and USC spirit, as a pregame before taking on Notre Dame. Watch and listen to USC Trojan band marching down the pier as they get ready for game day!
Park, Sail, and Tailgate
Continuing the football pregame fun, this Sunday holds our last Park, Sail, and Tailgate with Shoreline Sightseeing and Harry Caray’s. Park at Navy Pier for a discounted rate and head on over to Harry Caray’s to grab buffet style food and drinks, in theme with fall and Oktoberfest. Closer to gametime, grab your free Sun Cruiser for the ride and hop onboard the Shoreline Sightseeing Water Taxi and catch the scenic route to your game! A great way to kickoff game day with food, drinks, and views.
As a reminder, this is roundtrip so head back to where you were dropped off for the game to get back to the Pier!

Pioneer Court Events
If you’re familiar with Pioneer Court’s Market days, the remainder of October their Wednesday Farmer’s Market will be Fall themed! From 10am through 3pm in the afternoon, look through each vendor for fall themed merchandise and activations. A 3D chalk-artist, pumpkin patch and more are scheduled to be at the next scheduled dates of Fall Fest!
If you can’t make their Wednesday Fall Fest, Pioneer Court will host the Magnificent Market also from 10am-3pm. Join us for the one day pop-up on the Magnificent Mile for locally grown and artisan crafted merchandise.
Scary Caray’s Tavern
On Navy Pier’s official Spooky Saturday October 25th, Harry Caray’s will channel their scary side fir Scary Caray’s. Oktoberfest style food and drink specials all day, from noon through 2pm you can get your face painted, from 3:45pm to 5pm bring your furry friends for a Howl-o-ween pet contest, and to finish off the night starting at 6pm, the Stein Hoisting contest will commence until the last stein is dropped!

Sam Adams Stein Hoisting Contest
Bring all of your might to Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville on Navy Pier to participate in their Stein Hoisting contest on October 24th at 5pm. 21+ can sign up for the contest on-site. The contest fun will consist of seeing who can hold their 1 liter stein the longest, and they will be watching for bending of your arms or spilling of your stein! To the strongest winner, they’ll receive a Sam Adams collectible stein!
