Your Chicago History Tour begins at Shoreline Sightseeing’s Michigan Avenue dock at 401 N. Michigan Avenue, near Pioneer Court and the DuSable Bridge. From there, the boat travels east along the Chicago River and passes through the Chicago Harbor Lock before entering Lake Michigan. Once on the lake, the tour cruises south along Chicago’s front lawn, passing Grant Park, Buckingham Fountain, Monroe Harbor, and Museum Campus before turning back north. On the return, enjoy views of the Chicago Harbor Lighthouse, Navy Pier’s historic 1916 spires, and the skyline before passing back through the lock and returning to Michigan Avenue.
