Shoreline Sightseeing has been a proud partner of the Plumbers Local Union 130 in practicing the long Chicago tradition of dyeing the river green for the annual Chicago Parade Day. This year we are excited to announce the opportunity for you to enter our special giveaway for a chance to win a prize catered for St. Patrick’s Day weekend to add onto the existing fun. We’d like to spoil one of our followers whether you are from out of town or a Chicago native! Feelin’ lucky? Giveaway Details
Anyone at least 21 years of age or older can enter and the chance to win starts right now! Entries for the giveaway end at 11:59pm CST on March 10th. The winner will be randomly selected, here is what we’re giving one lucky winner:
- 4 exclusive tickets to watch Plumbers Local Union 130 dye the Chicago River on March 16th from a Shoreline Sightseeing Viewing boat dockside at 401 N. Michigan Avenue
- 4 Water Taxi tickets from Michigan Avenue to Navy Pier on March 16th 2024 after the dyeing.
- $100 gift card to Harry Carays on Navy Pier to enjoy some festive food
- One night stay in a standard king or double queen room at the Sable at Navy Pier on March 16th*
- 4 Tickets to the Shoreline Architecture River Cruise from Navy Pier on Saturday the 16th or Sunday the 17th to cruise along the green river

*Hotel check in time is at 4pm. A credit card will be required for incidentals. A $100 incidental hold will be required for the one night stay. This hold is returned to the guest upon check out if there are no ancillary charges (Valet, restaurant, snacks etc). Guests must present a valid photo ID matching the name on the reservation to check in.

Shoreline Sightseeing has tickets available for purchase the whole weekend to cruise along the green river on our Chicago Architecture River Tour or get a panoramic view of Chicago on our Skyline Lake Tour. Found yourself on Michigan Ave and don’t feel like walking to Navy Pier? No problem, Shoreline has Water Taxis running between Michigan Avenue and Navy Pier all day on the 16th from 12:30 – 6:00pm every 30 minutes. We will be selling tickets on site at both locations for $5 for adults $3 for kids one way or $8 for adults, $5 for kids round trip.
Navy Pier has plenty to offer you where more ways to celebrate await you! From delicious themed eats, drinks, more boat rides, and more activities!
Harry Caray’s Tavern at Navy Pier will be having a special St. Patrick’s Day menu for the whole weekend including items such as corned beef sandwiches, green draft beer, and other festive items!
The Navy Pier Beer Garden located at the most East end of the pier will be hosting a Six Nations “Super Saturday” Rugby Championship Watch Party on March 16th and its free entry! Come down and watch the three games with more Irish-inspired food and drinks! To make things even more festive Ireland will be playing Scotland to defend their 2023 title!
City Cruises will be disembarking from Navy Pier for a Signature Lunch Cruise on March 16th with a buffet meal, green beer, a DJ, and festive games!
Lirica at Navy Pier has a special curated menu to add onto the Irish culture from March 16th – March 17th! Stop by for a cozy cup of Irish coffee on their breakfast special menu or try one of their tasty items from the all day specials menu!
