Shoreline Charters & Events is proud to be part of Shoreline Sightseeing. Founded in 1939, Shoreline is Chicago’s largest boat touring fleet with nine touring vessels and nine water taxis. We offer Architecture Cruises on the Chicago River, Skyline Boat Tours on Lake Michigan and Water Taxi service between key destinations. Our goal is to is to provide a memorable experience for our passengers as they tour Chicago’s dramatic waterways. We offer special rates for smaller groups as well as our famous private charters!

About Shoreline
Shoreline has offered private charters from our very first year in business. More recently, Shoreline greatly expanded our charter services, establishing Shoreline Charters & Events to oversee this important part of our company. We now offer full event-planning services on a choice of two vessels. With capacities ranging from 50 to 250 guests, Shoreline charters are always private—the vessel you choose is yours alone for the duration of your event. Our professional event-planning staff will handle every detail from food and bar services to arranging for DJs and bands.
Between 1999 and 2003 Shoreline commissioned three brand new vessels with charters in mind: Star of Chicago, Evening Star and Bright Star. All are spacious open-air boats that lend themselves to a variety of parties from casual to elegant themes. In 2005, Celebration joined our fleet. Celebration is a climate-controlled vessel which was specially outfitted to accommodate our charter customers.
In our nearly 70 years of operation, Shoreline Charters & Events has hosted private parties for generations of Chicagoans as well as corporate events for hundreds of local, national and international clients. We look forward to providing our clients with the same outstanding charter services in the years to come.
