Welcome to THE CAPTAIN’S BLOG. This is the place to go for The Captain’s tips on where to drop anchor and find the best things to do and places to go in Chicago!
City taxis are so last year! Who wants to sit in a hot car in the middle of traffic watching the meter run up! All the cool kids (and the smart kids) are using Shoreline Water Taxis to get around this summer! Not only is it cheaper, but the view’s better and our taxis make connections with some of the best spots in the city: Navy Pier, the Museum Campus, Soldier Field!
Just think about it: instead of simply getting from Point A to Point B, we’ll get you where you need to go and give you a nice tour of the city (as well as the opportunity for a sun tan!)
Our Water Taxis are the perfect method of transportation for visitors and regular commuters alike. And we’re perfect for children. What kid wouldn’t want to zoom across the Chicago River on a boat?!
Plus we’re one of the cheapest ways to get around in the city. Our rides range from $3-$5 for children and $5-$8 for adults, depending on the route. If you want to travel with us all day long or for two consecutive days, we’ve got ride passes for that too. And we’re definitely the best deal in town for commuters with rides for only $2 from 7 am to 9 pm!
Our Water Taxis run every 20 minutes from 10 am to 6:30 pm seven days a week for the general public. And yes, they usually run rain or shine so make sure you dress for the elements!
And of course cameras are welcome on board. In fact we encourage them! It’s not every day you have such a magnificent view of the city during transit.
