Welcome to THE CAPTAIN’S BLOG. This is the place to go for The Captain’s tips on where to drop anchor and find the best things to do and places to go in Chicago!
“Beer, Brats and Boats”! On the Friday of September 25, 2015, we will be running our Oktoberfest Celebration Cruise. This is a night where you can transport yourself to Germany for the evening, all while getting the Chicago experience!
During this two-hour cruise, we are very excited to announce our partnership with the famous Paulina Market (which is located on the corner of Lincoln & Cornelia). Chicago Magazine raves; “all the top-quality hormone–free meats and poultry are there.” They are known for their traditional German cuisine and smoked meats.
During the cruise, passengers will experience breathtaking views of Chicago’s Skyline, a classic German dinner, an extensive German Oktoberfest beer selection, plus a free drink with a souvenir Oktoberfest mug. To top off the night, the Euro Express Band will play festive German music while you drift along Chicago’s waterways.
The Oktoberfest Celebration Cruise only comes around once a year so ladies grab your dirndl dresses and gentlemen grab your lederhosen and let’s party German-style!
The cruise will depart from Polk Bros Park at Navy Pier at 7:00 p.m., returning at 9:00 p.m. Tickets $49, must be 21 or over to attend.
