Take a friend or dog along or simply enjoy the quietude of having your own time and space while also getting in shape at one of Chicago’s many hiking locales. Here are just a couple:

  • Mount Bridgeport – While it’s actually called Henry C. Palmisano Nature Park, most folks know it as Mount Bridgeport. This spot offers 1.7 miles of walkways in the city as well as a quarter-mile running track, a soccer field, concrete walkways, and a 30-foot summit in the heart of the city.
